How Stupid is the United States

The US refuses to call the overthrow of the democratically elected Morsi Government a Military Coup.  Seriously what the hell do you call it?   Meanwhile the Egyptian Military basically executed 51 civilians last night including women and children.   Granted the Muslim Brotherhood may not be liked by many however they were elected to office by 51% of the voters in Egypt.  If the people of Egypt think they made a mistake then either they should have impeached Morsi or have waited for the next election.  Having the Military come in and takeover sets a bad precedent and will eventually lead to further turmoil in the Middle East.

Egypt was A Military Coup

The recent Military Coup in Egypt harkens back to the days of Nasser when he led a military coup as just a Colonel.   I suppose it's not a surprise that only 1 year after being elected President, Morsi would be removed from office.   It's obvious this Military Coup will set the stage for additional Coup's in other Middle Eastern countries in the coming decade leading to more instability in the region.

Who Receives better Raises? Private or Federal

There is widespread belief among the media that Federal Workers receive better overall pay versus the Private Sector.  However an analysis of Pay Raises since 1991 show the Private Sector has given out higher raises than the Federal Government.   Keep in mind for 2011 and 2012 there were no Federal Pay Raises while the Private Sector saw average pay rise by 7.1%.  Also in 2013 Federal Workers had no pay raise while Private Sector pay will likely rise again.  For those that believe Obama is a big supporter of Federal Employees that isn't the case at all.

Dr. Kathy Sullivan head of NOAA should be Fired Immediately

This person has no clue how the NWS works.  Congress has already told this person they have the money available to fund the NWS through the end of the year to avoid furloughs.  But this NOAA head refuses to ask for the money and is a complete idiot.

Why isn't Congress Furloughed?

The one group of government employees who do very little is Congress.  They haven't produced a budget in 4 years and I doubt 2014 will be any different.  Yet nobody talks about them being furloughed.

The Idiot Brigade that Runs NOAA

As you know NOAA wants to furlough all employees including all National Weather Service people at least 4 days this Summer.  Want most people don't know is that Congress has said they would fund the NWS through the end of the year to avoid furloughs.  However the idiots running NOAA have refused to ask Congress for the additional money to fund the NWS.
